Shipping and Payment
Shipping is an additional cost, and will vary depending on size of artwork and destination. I can ship via Canada Post or courier, and all packages are tracked and insured. I will give you an estimate of shipping cost at the time of booking your commission. I do ship internationally, however I regret that I am unable to ship to the U.S.A. at present. If you are an American customer interested in my work, please email me, and I can update you when the situation changes.
Payment may be made through PayPal. I require a 50% deposit before I begin work on your portrait, with the remainder (plus shipping) due after you have approved the finished work.
I will be in touch throughout the process, and you will have the opportunity to approve the initial composition and to request any changes at that time. Upon completion, any small revisions required will be free the first time. Second revisions will incur an additional (hourly) cost. My goal is to have clear communication between us, so that you may be 100% happy with your finished portrait!
My current turnaround time (from receiving your deposit to shipping) is approximately one month, depending on my waiting list. If you have a special occasion in mind, please let me know the date, and I will make every effort to accommodate you!
The original artwork itself will become the property of the purchaser, however as the artist, I retain full copyright of the image, with the right to use it at my discretion for promotion or reproduction on other merchandise. (No digital files are included with the purchase)

Reference Photos
The best photos are ones that clearly show your pet's face, especially their eyes. If possible, use a picture taken in natural daylight. Outside is great, or choose a room with good natural lighting and near a window. (Do not use the flash; this can result in red eyes)
Take the photos down at your animal's eye level, and a short distance away. This will avoid distortion.
Pets do not have to be photographed together to be in the same portrait. You can take some pictures together if they will cooperate, but do send some individual photos as well. I can also include a pet you have lost in the same portrait.
Send original full sized images from your camera or phone. (Avoid screenshots, heavily cropped images, or social media saves)
If all you have are some old pictures on film of a beloved pet you had years ago, do not despair! These can be scanned and e-mailed. As long as I have at least one picture that clearly shows the details of their face, I can work with it.
